Everyone has a choice To be sane and be blinded and powerless, Or dive head first into the madness And know the truth, and gain power Which will you choose? Sure if you chose to be sane You will be like most people, But is it worth it To be blinded and powerless for life? I was once a child of light But then the light disappeared and I was all alone, Then the darkness found me and reached out with a hand Saying that it will take care of me, But then the light came into my life In the form of a young girl, She loved me even though I was one with the dark And she helped comfort me and helped me, Now I walk the road of twilight, Neither dark nor light, But the form of both together, But now my light is fading once again As we are being teared apart, Will the light fade completely? There is a beast inside of me covered in chains It is blood thirsty and will kill for no reason, It is constantly trying to break free, But the chains keep it in place, Each day the chains get weaker and weaker And try to keep them together, But they break faster than I can fix them, The only one that can properly repair them as well as strengthen them is far away, And my mother won't allow me to see her, So the the chains break more and more, Should I just stop fixing the chains And let the beast free And allow it to fill its blood thirst?
